Resume
At the beginning of 1990’s, the Internet network attained its limits of address that it can be contained. It was urgent to find any solutions. In fact, the Internet Protocol (IP) was not calculated to host so many users. Some solutions were emitted to dispose of problem of addresses’ paucity but it was just retarded for some years. The IPv6 protocol seems to have all advantages to fix the IPv4’s defaults. So, its utilization is inevitable.
IPv6 add many addresses and also many technologies for Quality of Service (QoS), Sécurity (for example IPsec) and Mobility.
Although the IPv6 is necessary, the IPv4’s implantation in the world is so huge that the migration of between the two versions will be long.
However, hence 2010, the routers of Internet will reach saturation of addresses and should change for IPv6 to liberate some addresses IPv4. the constructor should be prepared for this change.
The transition will not be in one time, but step by step with mechanisms of cohabitation.
