Summary

The Game development on PC implies the work of a team whose members are skilled in various fields. Art and Information Technology are both as important in the creation of a game. A few years ago, computers were mainly used in professional areas, but nowadays mentalities have changed. Today the means and the conception of PC Games are more and more similar to those of Hollywood Films. I will tackle the conceptual aspect of the PC Game creation, putting forward the fundamental principles of the game conception while detailing the different fields of the creation. Eventually, I will study the technical aspects of PC game development, showing the benefits that languages and various development utensils can bring. Then I will rely on the realisation of a PC Game project using the Win32 library and the GDI, so as to technically apply developing methods used in the professional world, but on a smaller scale.
